"You haven't got any relatives hiding up there by any chance have you ?"
Night Flame narrowed her eyes at Ayesha. "I told you, liard... They left. Even though clearly someone is here, it is no one I know."
Meanwhile, Isha was glaring at Ayesha. "Yo!" she exclaimed in frustration when she realized the liard would just attempt to search the stranger from the trees. "The rock didn't come from up there! I swear there's someone behind the waterfall."

Ayesha stood her ground when the two started being sarcastic at her. First it was the one with the amazing fur tuft "I told you, liard... They left. Even though clearly someone is here, it is no one I know."
Ayesha stepped closer to her blinking and licked her lips. "You know..manners can get a girl alot of places, but you wont get far if a normal question keeps getting a response like that,you'll turn into... into something like her." The liard nodded towards where Isha was carrying on.
"Yo! "The rock didn't come from up there! I swear there's someone behind the waterfall."
Ayesha turned her head away from Nightflame and stared at the fox. "And what do you suggest we do, all jump in and swim over there and say 'hello' ?"

"And what do you suggest we do, all jump in and swim over there and say 'hello'?"
"It doesn't sound like a bad idea to me," Phrixus stated in a slightly angry tone, "It would be nice to see whos been throwing the rocks."
(Sorry for the super shortness)

"It doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. It would be nice to see whos been throwing the rocks."
Isha nodded her head rapidly. "Exactly!" She paused, then... "Wait... WHAT?!" The fennec glanced over her shoulder at the waterfall, then turned her glare at the liard. "YOU can swim, since you're always oh-so-concerned of my well being! So much so that you shake me upside down, attempting to snap my neck!" She padded over to one of the trees and sat there, giving another glare at Ayesha. "I'll just sit right here and wait while you do... what ever it is you're going to do."

Memkrias shook her head and tilted her head at him, replying "I think theres crazy people in this group or maybe the fox's brain flew up into the sky? Though I don't see anything..." Then she gave a grin and said "Maybe I should stand on your back and I'll see farther?"
Memkrias was as unsure what was going on as Pizeera was and it was't like they'd been included in the little pow wow.

"YOU can swim, since you're always oh-so-concerned of my well being! So much so that you shake me upside down, attempting to snap my neck!"
Ayesha's mouth dropped open at what Isha had just pronounced, standing still she just stared at her, before her brain clicked into gear and she found the right words she was looking for. " You ungrateful little vermin. All I have wanted to do since you came upon us all was to look out for you and care for you seeing you are so much smaller in size than us, and all you have done in return is snap and snarl as though you are some sort of princess....and for your information, if I wanted to break your neck, you would have been long dead and eaten and your sharp tongue spat out and left to shrivel up". Turning away from the fox, Ayesha saw that she in turn had moved away leaving her with some parting words. "I'll just sit right here and wait while you do... what ever it is you're going to do."
Bowing her head slightly, the liard moved away from them all and started to push herself through the dense bushes, she was going to make her way further down, cross the river and come back up to surprise whatver was supposidly throwing things at the whinging fox.

Isha glared daggers at Ayesha's retreating back, then snorted and glared at the ground between her front paws instead. Ayesha was... so... frustrating! Who said she needed taking care of? Who said she would have gotten eaten by someone just because she was so small? Oh no she would not be eaten, not without a fight. She would continue gnawing her way out from whom ever would dare to snatch her as a snack.
She sighed and her shoulders slumped. No... Perhaps she would not do that. Not if her neck was snapped and she would die. But darn it, she would not go down without a fight!
But then again... The fennec sighed and glanced up at Ayesha's retreating back from through her hair. She hadn't needed to snap at Ayesha like she had. It was just... that... she didn't want anyone to carry her around any more, but she couldn't follow the others either.
She slumped to the ground and flattened her ears, certain that they would laugh at her if they learned that she could not swim.
Night Flame stared with slightly widened eyes at the exchange of words between the fox and the liard. At this rate it would be only a matter of time before those two would be at each other's throats!
However, the dark lioness narrowed her eyes when she noticed Isha turn rather depressed all of a sudden. That fennec was odd. So odd, in fact, that she thought it would be better to stay away from her.

"Stand on my back !, I don't think so." Pizeera looked at the lioness with only his mouth moving a little ,almost a smile but not quite. Turning away from her he found they had now stepped into another argument and the liard was storming off through the bushes, while everyone else was just standing around sort of surprised.
"So, is anyone going to go with the liard, or is this some sort of test for her ?"

Phrixus shook his head as he listened to the exchange between the fox and the liard. He wondered if the would keep up like this for the entire trip, or if one of them would break off the group some time. Once the short but loud "talk" ended between the two Ayesha walked away.
"Wait, where are you going?" He yelled to her.
He looked back at the small fox and was about the ask if what she had said was really necessary, but he saw the look on her face and could tell she felt slightly bad about it.
"So, is anyone going to go with the liard, or is this some sort of test for her ?"
"I might as well," Phrixus replied, "You guys stay here."
After he spoke he started running towards Ayesha.

Ayesha had her head down, the white fur falling in strands over her face, while her paws slammed down on the damp soil lining the river bank. On she strode, not caring what slapped and pulled at her fur, the further she got away from that snarling rat the better in her opinion.
"Wait, where are you going?"
Hearing the words come from behind her, Ayesha stopped quickly and turned, a low growl emitting from her mouth. "I...AM....GOING...TO...THE...OTHER...SIDE...OF..THE...RIVER, now leave me alone and go back to the princess side".
Swinging around, the liard left him standing alone and kept moving till she found the slowest movement of water so far and using her front paws, gingerly tested the ground beneath her as she stepped into the cool water. Stopping for a moment she let the water move against her body testing the pull and then moved further into the river. As soon as it reached her neck, she started paddling against the small current, her eyes locked on the other side where she could see some small logs tucked into the bank that would let her get a grip on to pull herself out of the water. Blinking quickly, her long eyelashes flicked away the water that splashed on her face, clearing her vision. 'come on Ayesha concentrate.. you can do this, you've crossed rivers before, just keep paddling'.

"I...AM....GOING...TO...THE...OTHER...SIDE...OF..THE...RIVER, now leave me alone and go back to the princess side"
Isha flinched, and sunk lower on the ground, looking even more miserable than a moment ago. She definitely should not have snapped at Ayesha like that...
She sighed and twisted her body so that her tail covered her face, warming up her small body quite comfortingly. Ayesha had been annoying her through out their whole journey. All that just because she happened to be "small, cute and fluffy".
But princess?! That was just too much, especially from the liard that didn't seem to have brains at all, that seemed to run to all shiny and bright and nice smelling stuff her senses picked up.
The fox sighed again. Maybe she should just leave this group. They were just... too weird for her.

Ayesha kept paddling, knowing she had chosen the safest part of the river to cross that she could see. The current was pulling her, trying to take her away down the river to her right, but she bought her rear around and pulled her limbs harder and faster , pushing against the water. Shaking her head once more, the white fur moved away from her eyes and slapped back against her skull, clearing her view, she was now more than three quarters across and the fallen branches provided the best opportunity as a leverage to hoist herself from the flowing river.
Ayesha's paws touched the rotting slippery bark, her claws unsheathed digging in to hold her as she pulled herself forward, her back limbs kicking out from beneath her, propelling her into the bank.. she had made it. Moving her paws along the thick branch the liard reached out to the next lot of wood, her claws again digging in, as her chest pushed against the reeds and side of the bank, she gripped and pulled herself out and up the small slope till she was standing on terra firma again.
Letting out her breath, she then vigorously shook herself right down to the end of her tail ridding her skin of any excess water that had decided to cling, then lifted her head as if to remove some kinks and started padding softly moving in and out of the foliage to where the waterfall and supposid rock thrower were meant to be.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As he lay crouched discretely behind the boulder, his eyes watched as some sort of lioness of black/grey colour with a flowing white mane moved away from the others that had gathered, and was now walking away through the bushes. ' I'm safe, they're on that side, I'm on this side'
Pulling his feathers tightly around him, he dropped to the ground and moved along slowly,since all he had was himself, he had watched various others how they got close to prey without being noticed, he had his choice of weapon upon him, he just needed to know where that creature had disapeared too.
"I...AM....GOING...TO...THE...OTHER...SIDE...OF..THE...RIVER, now leave me alone and go back to the princess side".
Phrixus was caught by suprise by her answer, and his eyes widened. After a few moments though, his ears flatened and his head hung as he turned around and walked back. He understood why she was mad though, and why she might want to be alone.
Once he got back he sat down with the rest of the group.
"I guess we'll all be waiting here then."
Pizeera smirked, glad that it was the lion who went after the female, he didn't really feel like jumping in the river again, he'd already pulled out Memkria and done his good deed for the day, now he was just starting to feel hungry again and felt like a snack. Looking around him, he thought that the place where they were didn't really have much food, he wasn't into eating fish and berries, he wanted fresh bloody meat.
Hearing the bushes move Pizeera turned around and saw the male come back to them all. "I guess we'll all be waiting here then." Pizeera grinned at him. " told you off did she." Sitting on his rump, he looked over at the fox. "So why didn't you jump in the river and swim over to check things out, can't you swim or something?"
"So why didn't you jump in the river and swim over to check things out, can't you swim or something?"
Isha cringed, then lifted her tail off of her face and shot a murderous glare at Pizeera. "None of your business, lion", she muttered angrily. Under her angry expression though, she was panicking. How had the lion managed to strike right at the centre of her problem?
Pizeera sat there after his remark to the fox, his eyes growing a bit bigger when he realised that what he had said might be true. He liked to hand out comments to see what reactions he got, just to take away his boredom, but underneath his fur he did have a kind heart. Feeling a bit sorry for her now, he moved a little closer.
" You know, every one has something that they wish they were better at, there's no harm in saying it out loud, and since we are all meant to be travelling together, we should be helping each other. I just helped Memkria out of the river, seems she's not that great a swimmer either, nothing to carry on about." Walking away from her he moved over towards Phrixus "So you happy about leaving the liard over there byherself ?"
I just helped Memkria out of the river, seems she's not that great a swimmer either, nothing to carry on about."
Isha's ears flattened, and her angry expression faltered while Pizeera spoke. This was a completely new side to him, and her confusion of his sudden change of behaviour made her forget her shame for a while.
However, when the lion turned his back at her, the shame returned. Oh she was sure the group would just love to help her learn to swim... But Pizeera, like the others of this group, had no idea of why exactly she didn't swim.
The fennec shivered at this thought, and decided it would be better for her to bury her face into the thick fur of her tail so that no one would see the slight flicker of fear on her face.
The fennec's strange behaviour didn't go completely unnoticed, like she had wished. Night Flame had been keeping an eye on the fox, despite her decision to stay away from the small creature. And now, she was intrigued. Why was it, that the very mentioning of swimming made the fox so... anxious?
The dark lioness frowned. She wanted to figure out this mystery, but she didn't want to ask the fox, nor to directly speak with her. Maybe she could trick the critter into revealing something...?
She stopped that line of thought in frustration and sat down, shaking her head to herself. She wasn't officially part of this odd group, and she certainly should not get too attached to the group, especially the unstable small fox.
"told you off did she."
"Told might not be the most fitting word," Phrixus replied. "She seems quite angry."
Phrixus listened to the lion as he asked the fox why she didn't go into the water, and learned that she was not able to swim. It seemed Pizeera regretted saying what he did to the fox and then gave a speech that seemed out-of-character for him.
"So you happy about leaving the liard over there byherself ?"
"not particularly, but it's not like I had a choice." he replied.
He looked over at Night Flame, and thought she might know what was behind the waterfall. She lived here after all, so she should at least have an idea.
"Do you think you know what was behind the waterfall throwing the rocks?" he asked her.
Ayesha moved along slowly, her nose was twitching around in all directions, as her eyes glanced cautiously in front of her. Stopping in her tracks, she looked over her shoulder, for some reason expecting to see Phrixus there, but it seemed he had taken her words she threw at him as gospel.
Letting a small sigh escape through her lips, she straightened her shoulders and again one paw in front of the other she moved forward. Tilting her head slightly she paused, some strange smell was coming to her on the breeze. She couldn't hear much as the noise from the waterfall was drowning that out... but the smell.. it was unusual indeed. Crouching down Ayesha spread herself flat on the ground and behind some decaying bushes, hoping it might mask any odour from her body and quietly waited to see what would come her way.
memkrias sat watching everyone in front of her for a while then yawn and also her tummy grumbled. She decided to lay down and wait for them to get round to things. She let out a small sigh, If they had helped her killed that warthog she would be feeling full now, what were they - vegetarians or something? What a group of weirdos she'd gotten mixed up with, they did't even eat meat, was she meant to live on grubs or something... she closed her eyes for a moment resting.
