Jabari along with the females had just started walking towards where they had last seen Karensha and Sefi disapear too, when he stopped suddenly and whirled around with a growl coming from his mouth. His lips were pressed back as his teeth were bared, his ears twitching a little as Jabari lowered his body ready to attack.His eyes fixed firmly ahead of him, he lifted his nose and smelt the breeze. Not even bothering to turn his head completely he spoke quietly.
" We have visitors it seems, ones that are trying hard, but not hard enough to try and catch us unawares.. Any of you need to tell me something,...oh..say..like "Jabari I'm on the run and are being stalked wherever I go ?"
Taking a few more paces back towards the river, Jabari stopped once again and this time turned his head looking at the three.
" One of you needs to get Meri to Karensha and Sefu, they shouldn't be that far ahead, and someone needs to come with me and see what's lurking out there.... and I mean like NOW ."
Not bothering to see who was doing what, the cheetah moved again, quietly pushing through some bushes and again stopping as his claws released and dug into the hot earth as he smelt and listened to the breeze that swirled around him.

Karensha had just put her paw back on the ground to move away from Sefu, when she heard this high pitch scream of sorts,and all she had time to do was bare her teeth when she was knocked flat on the ground. Growling she blew the fur away from her eyes and waved a paw around to get rid of the dust to see what had happened, it can't have been too bad as she couldn't hear the lion fighting, he was ...laughing.
Getting to her feet she turned around to see a gazelle of all things spreadeagled on the ground the same time the male spoke.
"Are you alright, I don't think the prey is supposed to take down the hunter, right Karensha?"
Staring at Sefu as hard as she could, Karensha tossed her head and moved over to the gazelle standing over her as she bought a paw down on her throat gently but firmly.
"well, well what have we here.. lunch served up to us in a nice neat little package.."
Looing back at Sefu once again she lifted her eyebrow at him
"If you've had your moment of fun, you think you can come over here...unless you need to wash your paws before lunch that is.. did your mamma teach you manners Sefu."
Karensha stood there smirking as she looked back down at the gazelle.
"So.. what shall we sample first, you look rather tasty to me ."
