Karensha was staring harder at Sefu now, there was definitely something wrong with him, he was just... well he was just acting strange. With her eyes widening as watched as the lioness moved from position and cosied up close to Sefu, whispering to each other.
Hearing movement getting closer, she looked past the cheelion and watched as Jabari and Meri walked towards them, stopping when they finally reached Sera' side.
Giving the small lioness the once over, Karensha noticed again that she always kept her hair fallen over the scarred side of her face, her glance then went to the Cheetah, it seemed like they both had things in common.
Not sure why she did it, Karensha walked over to the white lioness, stopping in front of her and bought up a paw quickly before she could take fright and move away and gently brushed the hair away from the side of her damaged face and back up on top of her head, and in a quiet voice she leant in.
" They are just scars Meri, we all have them whether on the inside or out, where others can see them. Don't let them define who you are or what's in your heart, you are better than that."
Pausing for a moment, Karensha ran her nose against the scarring, giving her a quick caress.
" Fight your demons.. whoever did this to you, don't let them win either, they're aren't worth it. Believe in yourself it's much better than hiding from life and letting the good things that might happen pass you by.Trust me I know all about that."
Stepping back quickly, realising she had said way to much, Karensha turned and headed in the direction away from the water.
"I'm feeling a tad hungry, I'll see what's about."
The leopard, slowed and looked over her shoulder at Sefu and the lioness.
"And I'm not running after you !"

"So who are these two who are coming here now?"
Sera resisted the urge to roll her eyes and sigh as she turned to glance at Jabari and Meri. The small lioness looked rather content at the moment despite the ordeal they all had gone through just a moment ago, and Sera thought that was good.
"The cheetah is Jabari", Sera started, turning back to Sefu. "And the lioness is Meri."
She gave another glance at the two, then looked around to see if Kabechet had followed. When she caught no sight of the snake she turned to Jabari with a slightly lifted eyebrow.
"Is Kabechet going to join us soon or...?"
Meri froze slightly when Karensha came to her and brushed the hair away from her face. She couldn't see the action, of course, not with the eye on her face's scarred side blind, but she felt the lack of hair. Exposed. That was what it made her feel like and she took an unintentional step backwards before she could help herself.
"They are just scars Meri, we all have them whether on the inside or out, where others can see them. Don't let them define who you are or what's in your heart, you are better than that."
She felt Karensha brush her nose against her scarred face, and took a slightly shaky breath at the contact. It felt strange having someone touch the scarred skin, and despite what Karensha said, she already missed the familiar brush of her hair against the blind side of her face.

Karensha stepped away from her suddenly, and the white lioness pondered just what had caused that reaction from the leopard. She blinked owlishly for a moment before she shook her head slightly and allowed her hair to fall over her scarring and blind eye once again. Karensha did have a point with what she said, she admitted that much. But she wasn't ready for what the leopard told her - not yet anyway.
However, for the first time in a long time, she felt hopeful of what the future would bring, and because of that she swallowed and then walked after Karensha with uncharacteristic determination until she reached the leopard's side.
"Thank you."
Her voice rasped, having been unused for such a long time. But it was a start, and her voice - like all scars - would heal with time.

"Is Kabechet going to join us soon or...?"
Jabari's head turned towards the voice,hoping he wasn't blushing as he had been walking along with his head tilted slightly so that he could keep an eye on the small lioness, and now as he swung around towards Sera, he just about groaned out loud from the crick in his neck.
"I'm not sure, the last I saw of her before Meri and I came to find you all, she was curled up on a rock in the sun, needed to heat up her body or some such thing, if she comes...she comes."
The Cheetah's blue eyes left the cheelion and passed on to where Sefu was laid stretched out on the ground and then quickly glanced over the female by his side.
" So Sefu... introductions are in order, don't you think ?"

Naheera watched the snow leopard as she started to turn away, she wasn't sure if she should be helping, or just stay where she was, besides there was enough of them to bring food back, and she wasn't really in the mood to do any exercise at the moment.
" So Sefu... introductions are in order, don't you think ?"
Her eyes moved over and rested now on the cheetah and the lioness hovering at his side, waiting to see what the male beside her would say.
"well come on now, don't be shy, tell him my name and all about how you know me?"

Sefu didn't seem to be focusing on the group, just spacing out after Jabari asked for an introduction. He didn't come to focus until Naheera said something.
"well come on now, don't be shy, tell him my name and all about how you know me?"
"Ah yes, how rude of me, Naheera and I knew each other when we were growing up."
Sefu didn't know how long he could keep this little lie going, but for now he was having fun with it.
"Right now though, we are trying to figure out who had the crush on who, but I guess we can debate that later."

Naheera tried to stop the grin as she looked at the lion beside her, she wanted to see how good his imagination might be.
"Ah yes, how rude of me, Naheera and I knew each other when we were growing up, right now though, we are trying to figure out who had the crush on who, but I guess we can debate that later."
Looking at each one of those that were standing before her, she then stared at Sefu.
" Aww, come on now don't be shy. Tell them about that time when we were out walking and came across that herd of zebras, I'm sure you can remember what happened and how you were limping for a week."
While she was waiting she looked back over at the white lioness and the cheetah standing beside her, slowly looking at their scars, weren't just small ones either and then on to the cheelion and by this time the cranky snow leopard had disapeared out of sight.

Karensha stopped and waited as she heard footsteps behind her, wanting to see who it actually was, and then she caught the scent of the small lioness. As she licked her lips waiting, karensha wondered if she was going soft, she never used to worry about other's feelings she just carried on pleasing herself, and now here she was whispering 'do gooder words' to another.
Her ears flicked as the female came and stood beside her, then she heard those two words 'thankyou'. Turning her head slightly meeting Meri's gaze, Karensha blinked and just stared, how long was it since she had spoken and how long had it been since she had been thanked for anything. Still staring at the lioness Karensha's head was filled with flashbacks of easier better days, days when her life had meaning and she actually had something to live for.
Shaking her head, clearing her thoughts, the leopard just nodded at Meri and then turned and walked quicker into the bushes leaving them behind, leaving emotions she didn't need there as well.
Her nose to the ground, she started to hunt for food, the one thing she was actually good at.

Meri smiled faintly when Karensha nodded at her, and her smile remained even when the leopard made her hasty exit. She watched the bushes where Karensha had vanished for a while, then shook her head and returned to stand beside Jabari.
"-- Tell them about that time when we were out walking and came across that herd of zebras, I'm sure you can remember what happened and how you were limping for a week."
Sera blinked, then groaned slightly with frustration.
"Please don't..." the cheelion muttered under her breath, having no desire whatsoever to hear of what ever had caused... that.

Jabari couldn't hear what Karensha was whispering to Meri, and as much as he wanted to lean in closer, he held himself back and instead watched Sera where she was standing beside the newcomer and Sefu.
His glance moved over the three of them, the cheelion, seemed to be trying to hold onto her temper, going by the look on her face, Sefu well he was just behaving so strange as if everything going on around him was unfamiliar, maybe he had been knocked too hard on his head whilst they were fighting in the water. And then, this female, he wasn't sure if she did know the male or was just trying to mislead them all for some reason, because the look Sefu had on his face as he stared at.. what was her name... oh yes Naheera, was almost comical.
Jabari's gaze moved away and watched as Karensha stalked away from them and Meri followed. His eyebrows went shooting up when he saw she was actually smiling and his mouth dropped open, what was it the leopard had spoken to the white lioness, now he was intrigued.
About to go after her,he took a few steps then stopped quickly when Meri returned.Trying to pretend that he hadn't been staring at her, he found himself in front of a bush examining it as though the thing was of sudden importance.

Sefu just let out a small laugh seeing how annoyed the cheelion seemed to be. He didn't know exactly why, but he enjoyed making this one frustrated.
"I guess we're done with stories then."
Sefu looked over to see that Karensha had left and that cheetah looked amazed about something. He just continued to watch the cheetah until the cheetah was just staring at a bush for no reason it seemed.
"That must be a very interesting bush the cheetah is staring." Sefu said to the other two by him. "I wonder what has him so intrigued."

Naheera smirked, she couldn't help herself and leaned in closer to the lion
"chicken!".
Seeing that his interest was somewhere else, she followed his gaze to where the cheetah with the badly scarred face was staring at a bush.
"That must be a very interesting bush the cheetah is staring at, I wonder what has him so intrigued."
"He's probably trying to think about not answering any questions given to him, like you have."
Looking now at the two females, then back to the cheetah, she rose to her feet and padded quietly over behind him and opened her mouth and yelled.
"SURPRISE".

Jabari had heard footsteps, but wasn't paying any attention to who it was or where they were going until they bellowed out from right beside him.
Spinning around,he quickly clamped his mouth together to stop the snarl that was about to go forth, when he saw it was Sefu's friend.
"You shouldn't sneak up on another like that, you might find yourself in a very uncomfortable situation."
Stepping back and away from her Jabari looked over to see where Sera was, only to find her with a smirk on her face and staring at Sefu.
"Is anyone going to keep karensha company, seeing she is getting our dinner ?"

"SURPRISE!"
Meri jumped and let out a quiet whimper when Naheera yelled at Jabari. She flattened her ears and took a few steps backwards, only barely stopping herself from shrinking to the ground in fright.

"Is anyone going to keep karensha company, seeing she is getting our dinner ?"
"She didn't seem particularly fond of company", Sera remarked dryly. "And I doubt she'd be thrilled if I offered my help."
Shaking her head, she glanced at Meri, noticing how the white lioness was staring fearfully at Naheera. She sighed, wishing that the small lioness wouldn't be so easily scared.

"oh don't be such a scaredy cat" Naheera said quickly, but made sure she took a few steps backwards nearly bumping into the small lioness.
Turning around slowly, she stood there watching her flattened ears and the almost shaking of the lioness and stepped backed a few more giving her space, while looking over her shoulder at Sefu.
"well aren't you going to come and look after her ?"

Sefu just looked at the lioness after asking the question beore he just shrugged his shoulder. He made his way over to where Naheera was.
"I guess I might as well tag along, might be a bit fun."
Sefu then walked over to where Karensha was at.
"I don't know how much help I'll be, but I'll try to help."

Karensha stood part way through the bushes, waiting once she heard the Cheetah ask of the others if they were going with her. Snorting out loud after she watched none come forward, she was about to move away when Sefu announced he was joining her as it might be a bit of fun.
Shaking her head at him, she sighed " Hope he knows how to chase and run faster than he does everything else"
"I don't know how much help I'll be, but I'll try to help."
Karensha met his eyes as he finally raised his head to speak to her.
"If you can keep up and don't scare the food away, let's go "
Moving forward she didn't wait to see if he was coming with her or just putting on a good show for the others, but silently pushed her way thru the overhanging branches and soft foliage underfoot.

Naheera sighed at the male and looked over where the cheelion was standing just watching.
"Is it just me, or is it him ? I meant for him to help her" as she nodded her head towards Meri.
Looking closer at the small lioness, who was still shaking, Naheera moved closer and bent her head under her muzzle and looked up at her from the angle.
"I'm not going to hurt you, you know. Not everyone is as quiet as you are.. are you ok ?"

Sera chuckled, shaking her head as she watched Sefu disappear after Karensha. "He hit his head, remember? Might've messed up something else too than just his memories."

Meri turned to look at Naheera with a slightly startled expression. Upon realizing that the lioness meant her no harm she relaxed a bit and gave a small nod as a reply.

Jabari watched as Sefu, still seemingly dazed trotted off after Karensha, and then turning he faced the three females left in his company. Looking from left to right, he bought his gaze back to the left and he found himself staring at the cheelion.
Blinking to start with, he hesitated while his tongue came out and swiped over his lips slowly not sure what to say.
" Umm...ummm.. Sera ! should we all just go along as well and see that no one gets into trouble ?. I'm thinking now that we have come over to this side, we may as well keep moving and see what there is to see... unless of course you girls just want to rest and wait for your meal... that is, if there will be anything"

Sefu just smiled at Karensha's comment, thinking it was just a challege for him to do. Seeing her go through the branches and foliage, he followed closely behind her. Since he was bigger though, he made a bit more noise but was still quiet enough so nothing could hear them.
