Basilisk kept a close eye on Sera and Meri as the snake was doing her little performance, when he caught the cheelions look as she turned.
"Well then....Shall we?"
Basilisk gave a small sigh, it seemed they were all on the go again, at least for now Meri had come out of her semi-comatise state and was acting normal, well normal for her anyway again.
" ok..off you go I'll catch up, just going to get myself a drink"

Karensha stood there with Jabari and Sefu, she felt the cub wiggle out from her paws, and she relaxed letting him play with the over hanging leaves from the bush, while she let her eyes roam around.
" So Jabari ....what's been happening back with the others, Meri still hiding out in the cave with Basilisk and Sera standing guard, and I'm the villian in all of this again, or has Kabechet eaten them all for breakfast ?"
Karensha grinned to herself at the thought of the others taking on the snake, wondering who would come off worse with that encounter, when she felt Maji scamper back into her front paws, pushing himself into her warmth and fur, burrowing in. Switching off her thoughts she looked around to see what could have frightened the cub, smiling when she saw a lizard poking it's head out from the greenery eyeing up Maji.

Sera followed Kabechet in silence, with Meri walking close on her side. The lioness was gazing around, taking notice of her surroundings more than Sera remembered she had during the time Meri had been with them. She just hoped it would remain so even after they would reunite with the rest of the group. With some luck Meri would open up and begin to speak again.
And so, Sera's mood was hopeful even though she prepared for some more arguing with Karensha.
Kabechet didn't really pay much attention to the felines following her. She had no trouble tracking down Jabari, and she was confident that they would catch up to the cheetah soon. She allowed a brief, pleased smirk to herself when she caught the sight of Jabari with Sefu and Karensha, with the later holding Maji. Her smirk was completely gone when she slithered out of the grass and halted, glancing behind her momentarily to see Sera and Meri standing behind her.
She nodded to herself, gave a quick glance at her surroundings before she turned her gaze at Karensha.
"Thought you sshould know, there are ssnakess here", she said quietly.
"I killed two sso far near the waterhole, and that iss more than I would feel comfortable with in ssuch a ssmall area."

Maji was about to go back out when the lizard skittered away but when he saw the cobra, he retreated back to Karensha.

Jabari stood there watching from the corner of his eye what the cub was doing, trying not to smile.
' how the young are so innocent, hopefully Maji will stay like that for a while, before the real world intrudes on him.'.
Looking away once he knew Karensha was keeping an eye on him, he turned at the sound of her voice addressing him.

Meeting the snow leopards gaze, he blinked a few times wondering how to reply. Licking his lips he spoke slowly.
" I'm not sure what's happening to be truthful. I think I also upset the small lioness and was being shunned by the others for being too forceful, so I decided to bring the cub on a walk to see what you and Sefu were upto."

Sefu kept listening as the cheetah and leopard spoke with one another. He found it funny that he wasn't the only one that irritated the other lion and annoying female.
"So I guess none of us are on the good side of the others. Whatever, I guess, they don't exactly seem like the brightest."
Laying to his back, Sefu then just stared at the sky and let the other two continue talking.

Karensha's eyes flicked from the cheetah to where Sefu had now rolled into a relaxing position and she grinned.
"You know Sefu anyone would think you've had some exercise, and now are totally worn out.. we hadn't even started, I'm beginning to think I can outpace you any day."
Her eyes darted over the top of his body as she heard bushes being moved coming in their direction, but before anyone appeared, there was Kabechet.
"Thought you sshould know, there are ssnakess here,

Looking down at the cub, snuggled in close, Karensha turned to Jabari.

Maji was beginning to get a little skittish. He wanted to go do something but not within sight of the cobra and the others. For a few minutes while Karensha talked to the others, Maji wondered how or when he was going to be able to get some time for himself to relax and not have to worry about everyone and everything around him.
Finally, he figured that maybe he could just wiggle his way past Karenshas arms unnoticed by anyone else and play somewhere behind her where she was between him and everyone else. So with a deep inhale and exhale, he began twisting and turning his head and body while he pulled himself along underneath Karenshas arm so that when he came out, he'd be right next to her under arm.
Finally, he made it out. Maji shook himself to get all his fur back in place as he turned around to see if anyone had noticed.

Jabari allowed his gaze to rise up from the cub and he then moved it slowly up and over the snow leopard, taking her her white pelt and lilac fur half hanging over her eyes, she really stood out with the sun shining down upon her.
Blinking he thought quickly about what she had just asked him.
"They are always around, usually hidden in the undergrowth or among the boulder formations, but I've never been accousted by any while drinking, seems a it strange to me that Kabechet turns up and suddenly we have a small infestation.... but hey, could be only coincidence... we just have to make sure the cub here is watched and not let to run off alone."

Karensha turned away from Sefu seeing he hadn't bothered to reply to her jest and faced Kabechet staring at her intently, the trouble was the snake held herself completely still and not any emotion in her face giving away the slightest thing.
Blinking quickly Karensha listened to Jabari while looking beyond him .
seeing Meri and the cheelion standing beside some bushes.
"well it looks like they needed to stretch their legs and have come a wandering Jabari, maybe nows the time for you to make amends with the lioness, she looks... nervous perhaps."
Feeling Maji sliding out of her hold, without looking at him, Karensha moved her paw forward and gently took hold of his tail and pulled him in close to her once more. Lowering her head she whispered to him.
"If you climb up on my back and get a good hold in my fur, I'll take you for a little swim, just you and me.. ."
Turning back Karensha looked past the cheelion and then back where her eyes met Sera's.
" well... where have you left your little buddy, thought he would be sticking close to you two ?"

The cobra chuckled quietly at the cheetah's words. Of course they would suspect her, but in her opinion it only proved how little they knew of her kind. These little pests that Kabechet had seen would normally stay away from her or any other snake of her size.
She shook her hooded head and said nothing more. Karensha didn't seem too worried, and if she preferred to ignore her warning, fine. If something happened to anyone in the group, the leopard could only blame herself.
"well... where have you left your little buddy, thought he would be sticking close to you two ?"
The cheelion quickly glanced behind her.
"I suppose he'll come here in a bit", she replied with a shrug, turning her attention back at the leopard. "He knows we're here, so if he wants to join he will."
Meri remained silent during all the discussion. Her ears twitched slightly as she listened to the different sounds, but otherwise she seemed rather relaxed. She heard Kabechet's chuckle and her gaze flicked to the large cobra. She wasn't sure what the snake found so amusing, and she certainly didn't know whether or not the snake's amusement was a good or a bad thing.

Maji was suddenly stopped and felt a small tug on his tail. Before he had time to react, he heard Karenshas whispering voice in his ears.
"If you climb up on my back and get a good hold in my fur, I'll take you for a little swim, just you and me.. ."
Majis ears perked up and he smiled slightly. He then quickly toddled over to Karenshas side where he quickly climbed on her back. He didn't realize it but he grabbed her fur very tightly in anticipation. He tried at the same time to Hide behind Karenshas head and ears from everybody else's view.

Jabari's glance moved quickly from the snow leopard to where the two females were poised, his eyes landing first on the cheelion and then resting on Meri. She didn't know he was staring at her, as she was too busy keeping her attention on Kabechet, so he had time to take in his fill.
For now, she had lost that startled petrified look and was almost relaxed in her stance, but they all knew for some reason anything could set her off, he just wasn't sure how to approach her, maybe he did scare her after all with his appearance and she was just being polite at their last meeting together.
Sighing slightly he moved his gaze from her back to Sera and gave an almost smile, only the corner of his mouth twitched a little.
"well... now we're all here, what should we be doing ?"

Karensha smiled to herself as she saw the cub scamper back at her words and climb up on her back, taking hold of her fur, readying himself.
Blinking for a moment at how Maji had twisted her fur in his paws, it was pulling a little too tight.
"whoa there Maji, just let a little slide through your paws, and move your rump around till you're comfortable, I don't think I need a facelift quite so soon."
Moving her head a little karensha peered past where Jabari was staring at the females, and found Sefu.
"Anything interesting up there Sefu ? nothing that might come crashing down and fall into your lap, add some excitement to your morning ?"

It seemed that Sefu had gotten lost in thought while all the others were around. He didn't
snap out of it until Karensha had said something to him.
"Anything interesting up there Sefu ? nothing that might come crashing down and fall into your lap, add some excitement to your morning ?"
"Nothing yet, but I better keep watching just in case."
After a few seconds though, he couldn't help but get tired of it. Looking back down, he started to pay attention to the others now.
"Well that got boring, now, what did I miss while a I spacing out?"

Sera gave Karensha a faint glare, but chose not to answer. It wasn't her problem whether or not Basilisk decided to join them.
"well... now we're all here, what should we be doing ?"
Sera turned her attention away from Karensha and examined the cheetah. She blinked, surprised to see the Jabari's fain smile. She sighed, feeling a bit ashamed of how she had spoken to Jabari earlier.
"Um, I'm sorry, by the way", she said, flattening her ears. She wasn't sure how to continue.
"I shouldn't have snapped at you like I did before. I was frustrated and, uh... Yeah... Sorry?"

Maji loosened his grip and sat back a little more so he was still balanced. His anticipation grew slowly but surely. Finally, he just laid down on Karenshas back on his side. The cub reached out and grabbed a small bit of Karenshas fur and raked his paw through it gently. He had nothing else to do until Karensha decided to get up and go.

Jabari kept his gaze on the cheelion as she spoke, it seemed she was trying to make amends, then he glanced quickly at Meri, who was now focused on the cobra, not looking in his direction, and he bought his eyes back to rest on Sera.
Inclining his head a little, he gave her a brief nod and turned away looking out over the surroundings of what the new day was showing. The sky was blue, the sun shining and the water stretched for miles whichever way he looked.
Sighing a little he sat on his rump with his back to the others and then held his head up letting the suns rays wash over him, closing out all the noise and retreating into his own space for a moment or two.

Karensha turned once again towards Sefu and stared at him for a little.
"Not much it seems, the cheelion there was saying sorry to Jabari for being her normal self, all sweetness she is that one and the lioness is trying to outstare kabechet and I'm not sure how that will end up, maybe a group hug."
Laughing to herself at the thought of anyone smooching upto the snake, she turned back to see what the cheetah was doing, and decided to leave him to it, and then started to walk around Jabari towards the water.
"Well I'm taking Maji here for a little swim, might head out to that island further on and see what's hiding, maybe have a little snack....feel free to tag along anyone,. if not..will see you back here sometime I guess."
Twisting her head around so the cub could hear, Karensha gave her shoulders a little jiggle at the same time to let him know they were on the move.
"Maji we're going into the water soon.. hang on and look around , you can be my guard.. see anything happening just tell me out loud."
Walking along the river bank, with the water lapping over her paws, Karensha felt relaxed , and like she was in a place where finally she was meant to be, freedom had a good feeling to it.

Maji didn't really know what he would do if there was some sort of danger he saw. He certainly didn't know if he could bring himself to tell Karensha vocally. He would have to think of something to do if anything came up. Of course, Maji didn't know Karensha was only half kidding. Surely she would know if someone was following them or hiding in the bushes. She had been trained to do so.
As they got closer to the water, Maji could see the reflection of the trees and bushes on the other side. As he sat there on Karenshas back between her shoulders, he couldn't help but lean down and rub the top of her head with his cheek affectionately. He purred loudly as he switched from one cheek to the next.

Standing still for a moment, Karensha looked over her shoulder at the others, Jabari was watching herself and the cub, whilst the others apparantly didn't know where to look, and no one was moving in her direction.
Blinking her long lilac eyelashes, the snow leopard moved further into the water, watching as silt covered her paws blocking them from view, her claws clenched into the ground under her a bit more firmer.
Stopping suddenly, Karensha looked all around her and could see nothing posing as an enemy lurking, and encouraged by Maji's purring, she carried onto the water, keeping in her view the small
island ahead, somewhere she could perhaps nap or play with the cub.
Her paws pushed through the water paddling, getting closer to her destination when she heard a shout from back behind them. Quickly turning her head she could see a dark shadow in the water and two yellow eyes focused on her and the cub. If it was just her alone she would have put up a fight, but with the cub perched atop, all her thoughts were to make it as fast as she could to the grassy stretch just ahead of her.

Sefu just watched for a bit as Karensha and the cub went into the water, debating whether
or not he should go with them or not. He decided not to for now and went back to laying
down like usual. It wasn't long though before he heard someone shout which startled him a
bit.
He looked around to see what was happening but only saw that Karensha was going towards a
small island. Not really seeing anything from where he was at, he looked over to Jabari
hoping he knew what wat going.
"Am I going crazy or did I just here someone shout?" He asked the cheetah before looking
back over to where Karensha was at, "I must be going crazy because it looks like Karensha isn't the only one in the water."

Maji was startled by the shout that came from behind them. He squeaked as he turned to see something in the water following closely behind. The cub backed up against the back of Karenshas head, watching the two yellow eyes fearfully. His body began to shake as he panicked. He turned around and scrambled over Karenshas head and fell into the water in front of Karensha. The cub splashed around wildly and gasped for air as he began to sink.
