"Deal" Basilisk replied.
Basilisk watched Sera try to get the cubs attention. He didn't know if the cub was scared of her like it was of him, but he was sure that it saw Sera as the lesser of two evils at least.
Basilisk didn't know what he could do next. He didn't know where Karensha went, he wasn't interested in following Jabari where ever he went, he couldn't talk to Meri yet because she hadn't calmed down, so it seemed all he could do was watch Sera and the cub.

"It iss the reasson why I am here now, why I sstill remain even though it iss clear that none of you really want me here."
Jabari lay there just watching Kabachet, not really sure what to say.
"I am never welcome anywhere though, sso thiss little group'ss behaviour doess not bother me. For now I do intend to keep watch over thingss, I am rather ssure none of you want other.. ah... more aggressssive ssnakes here."
Chuckling now at her response, Jabari rose to his paws and shook himself.
"Maybe you just need to prove Karensha's suspicions about you wrong then... none of us here really know each other, we seem to have all united only recently and curiosity can be a dangerous thing OR it can work in your favour."
About to walk back to the cave, the cheetah stopped himself and looked at the snake.
"You're most welcome to come with me and see whats happening...after all if you're there, we won't find any other aggressive snakes bothering us."

Maji was being bothered by the twitching thing he saw in the corner of his eye. It kept moving and his muscles were twitching, why did he have this overwhelming urge suddenly. He could't stand it, suddenly he turned and pounced at the twitching fluff and bit into it like his instincts were vaguely telling him to do.

Sefu followed Karensha while also keeping a but of distance between them. When he saw that she was trying to look back again, he wondered why she kept looking at him. Before he knew it though, Karensha tripped over something and got stuck.
Just seeing the sight of Karensha go face first into the ground by accident made Sefu let out a small laugh. He then just walked up to the side of her with a sarcastic grin on his face.
"That was smooth kid. Maybe you should get keep your eyes forward so this doesn't happen again."

Karensha lay there for a split second, at first she was embarrassed and then she got angry.
' damn it , how did that happen... and now he's standing there laughing at me'
Tugging sharply on the tree roots that had caught her paw and flipped her on her belly, Karensha got her paw pulled free and jumped back up on all fours, flicking her head sharply making the fur from her tuft that had fallen over her face to clear her vision only to be met with Sefu's mocking words.
"That was smooth kid. Maybe you should get keep your eyes forward so this doesn't happen again."
With her eyes flashing at him as he drew along side of her, she willed herself to stop blushing and took a breath.
" I would have side stepped that root, except I was watching out for your ass as it was straggling way behind me."
Giving him a nod Karensha kept walking along, for some reason she wanted to laugh, it felt good to let slip things she was thinking, instead of having to keep it all locked away in case she got a beating that was called a reprimand.
Feeling the dampness under her paws, she knew they were getting closer to the edge of the wetlands once again, here they had to be more cautious, as everyone was on the lookout for a free meal, especially the crocodiles laying in the sun, right ahead of them.
Stopping, Karensha just slowly looked all around her, sniffing the air once more, and decided to bypass the creatures, she had got too close a couple of times before to those sharp teeth and these days a bit more wary about how near she would get to them when deemed uneccessary.
Moving back into the bush, the leopard saw paw prints etched out below her and leaned down placing her cheek against the imprint, feeling there was no warmth, she carried on slowly, her head swivelling to the left and right. Without bothering to look behind her she knew sefu was there somewhere, as she could smell his scent.
" Hope you're on the ball Sefu, would hate for that creamy coloured skin of yours to be marred by any 'accidential happenings' while you're out here with me."
Grinning to herself, she stopped once more and brushed aside some crushed leaves that were lying on the shaded floor.

"Perhapss", the cobra replied with a quiet laugh as she watched the cheetah get up. "However, quesstion iss will sshe ever believe me?"

"A very good point", she said with a faint smirk as she slithered after Jabari. "I sshall do sso... Though I ssusspect it iss wisse that I keep ssome disstance to the cub and the white one, don't you think?"
Success! Maji had finally attacked her tail tuft and was furiously "killing it", so to speak. Sera thought it was a good sign, and perhaps this way she could both keep the cub entertained and get him to trust her. She made sure to try yanking the tail away from Maji just enough to give him the illusion that his "prey" was still alive and attempting to escape him.
The cheelion chuckled and glanced at Meri, noticing that the lioness had somewhat taken an interest in the cub's antics. However, there was still a strange look in her eyes when she stared at the cub, which told Sera that the lioness wasn't quite over her previous shock of... what ever it had been.
She sighed. Life would be so much easier if they all could be entertained as easily as Maji.

Basilisk watched Sera play with the cub a bit by flicking her tail around. When he looked over at Meri, it seemed she was interested too. A smile crossed his face as an idea came to his head.
He walked slowly and quietly behind Meri so that she couldn't hear him. He got as close as he could and stuck his tail out in front of her, hoping to catch her by surprise.
When he realized she hadn't noticed yet, he rested his tail tuft on her nose and awaited her reaction.

Meri had been concentrating so much on watching the cub play with Sera that she didn't realize Basilisk's attempts to catch her attention at first. Her nose did twitch when she felt something tickle it. She blinked, shaking her head slightly in an attempt to get rid of it. The instant her head returned to how it had been, the tickling continued and her nose twitched again. She growled in frustration, this time flicking with her paw.
And to her utter surprise she only now realized that it was a tail tuft. Startled, she let out a gasp, her eyes wide as she pulled her head away from the tuft and stared at with wide eyes. She frowned then and turned to glare over her shoulder at Basilisk as if silently asking him what he thought he was doing.

Sefu just laughed at Karensha and her excuse for tripping. He thought it was good to see that the leopard was usually more relaxed and willing to joke more than the others.
Seeing Karensha continue walking, Sefu started walking behind her more closely then last time. He didn't want to give her another excuse of why she tripped.
Looking around, he saw that they were getting closer to the wetlands. It seemed Karensha was being a bit more cautious while Sefu continued to be overly relaxed.

Maji kept on attacking his prey, the darn thing kept getting up and moving, he would have to show who was boss, he was a lion after all. He made a big pounce flying up in the air and unsheefing claws as he did so. He landed flat on top on his wiggly prey pinning it to the ground and bit in it, shaking it with his head as he killed it once and for all.

Basilisk laughed as Meri turned around and gave him an odd look.
"I'm just joshin' around." he told her.
It seemed that Meri still wasn't in much of a mood for talking or fooling around, so he walked off while still chuckling to himself. He sat back where he was before and watched Sera and the cub again.

Karensha smiled to herself as she saw Sefu had stopped straggling and come up beside her. She needed to get used to others being around her, the cub was fine he was of no threat, but these others, it looked lilke she had to let down her guard a little and learn from them how to relax, just something she had never done, it was every one out for themselves where she came from.
"I guess I'll stay on the ball then, just make sure you stay on your feet from now on."
Bringing her head up from the leaves she had been examining, she turned her gaze on the lion again, staring at him.
"I thank you for your concern Sefu, I'm sure you'll be the first to know if I don't and let me know asap."
Shaking her head slightly so some fur would drape down covering some of her face, karensha sighed and looked all around, so far she couldn't see anything amiss, and the scents she had picked up weren't any that she had stored away that she knew, maye they should go back to the others, but for some reason she felt she needed to look a bit further on the wetlands.
"Well Sefu... you want to keep looking a bit more or you want to turn and go back, I think this is the longest I've seen you on your paws."

Jabari watched as the snake uncurled herself and made to move with him, answering him as she went.
"Perhapss... However, quesstion iss will sshe ever believe me?"
"That's up to you two, none of us know your history, and we have only known Karensha for a short time, but she seems honest in her dealings with us, we will just have to see what happens."
Jabari slowed down to a stop when he saw the cave entrance was nearly upon them, everything was quiet, no arguing between Karensha and Basilisk or Sera, maybe things were all calm again.
Though I ssusspect it iss wisse that I keep ssome disstance to the cub and the white one, don't you think?"
The cheetah looked once more at Kabechet and found a small grin come to his face.
"I think that finally, some smart words are coming out of your mouth, lets hope they keep coming Kabechet."
Turning from her Jabari walked into the cave, pausing as his eyes came to rest on them, seeing that karensha and Sefu were missing.

The cobra laughed quietly at Jabari's words, but made no comment. Instead she slithered inside the cave, though only deep enough to have shelter from outside while keeping a long enough distance to Meri and Maji so that they would not feel uncomfortable.
Sera was rather pleased with herself when Maji kept attacking her tail tuft. She made sure to twitch it just enough to tease the cub's instincts and make him attempt to "kill" his prey. She didn't mind him biting her tail - his teeth were small and jaws weren't strong enough to cause any harm. Instead, she chuckled when Maji shook his head while holding tightly on her tail tuft.
"I think your prey is dead now, Maji", she said with a smile as she laid down on the cave floor, watching the cub with an amused expression while she waited to see what he'd do now.
"I'm just joshin' around."
Meri stared at Basilisk in confusion as he walked away, still clearly amused at her reaction. She frowned slightly at him, but he didn't seem to notice as his gaze was once again on Sera and Maji. The white lioness glanced at the cheelion and the cub, and couldn't help the smile at what the two were doing. However, she quickly turned her gaze away, not wanting to look at Maji too long.
Her gaze landed on Jabari, who had once again entered the cave. She tilted her head slightly and blinked her eyes calmly, wondering what the cheetah wanted.

Jabari moved into the cave, his eyes resting on each of them, noticing Basilisk and Sera were amusing the cub, and then his eyes briefly fell on the lioness, but then he moved them away quickly.
Talking to no one in particular Jabari asked the question.
"Have Sefu and Karensha returned yet with any answers?"

(aaaaaaand im back. Maji will probably be acting different since I'm taking him back over and playing him the way I made him.)
Maji pinned the tail down and followed the tail further down its length until he found that it was attached to Sera. He hadn't been paying attention to much. Now he looked up and his heart skipped a beat and his ears flattened. Majis eyes widened as he backed away from Sera and Basillisk. Then he heard Jabari from behind him.
"Have Sefu and Karensha returned yet with any answers?"
Maji turned around and scampered over to the cheetah. He liked him more than the other two. Rather than stopping next to Jabari, Maji stopped at his hind leg and looked around for Karensha.

Sera let out a sigh when Maji backed away from her. For a moment she had thought the cub might get over his fear, but apparently she had been wrong.
"Have Sefu and Karensha returned yet with any answers?"
"No", the cheelion replied, watching how Maji dashed to Jabari and stopped near the cheetah's hind legs, looking around.
"What ever they are doing it seems to be taking a while."
Sera glanced at Meri, who was still staring at Jabari curiously.
"At least she calmed down", the cheelion muttered quietly.

"I didn't even think I could stand and walk for this long," Sefu said jokingly and
the shrugging his shoulders, "I guess I'm just full of surprises."
Looking around to see if anything looked strange or needing to be examined, he saw that nothing was really amiss. It kinda disappointed him since that meant this trip was pretty much a waste of time then.
"Well I doubt we will find much else out there, and I'm sure that cub is probably missing you by now. So I guess we should probably go back by now."

Jabari's eyes widened in surprise when the cub left the others and literally ran to him, stopping and looking around, he'd hoped, even though Karensha had left him in his care, that the other females would take over, it seemed that the cub had other ideas.
He had asked his question to no one in particular, but it was the cheelion who finally answered.
" No...What ever they are doing it seems to be taking a while."
"Well I'm going to go take a look, I'm not wanted here and I'm guessing I'd better take this little one along with me."
Leaning down Jabari picked up Maji by the scruff of his neck and swung him around so he was sitting up high on his back, and then turned slowly, casting one more look over Basilisk, Sera and Meri and headed back out of the cave.

Maji didn't have much of a problem with Jabari. At least not as much as Bassilisk and Sera anyway. Karensha seemed to like Jabari so Maji trusted him a little more.
Maji was picked up by Jabari and put on his back. The cub put his paws down on Jabaris neck and sat up as high as he could without falling off trying to see if Karensha was coming to meet them.

Karensha stood still listening to Sefu, it seemed he was keen to go back, where as she just wanted to look a little further. Licking her lips she turned around to face him.
"I think he'll be fine with Jabari a little longer, sooo...."
Turning back to where she had been staring, Karensha eyed up the crocodiles that were lying half in/half out of the water sunbathing, and quickly swung around to the lion with a grin on her muzzle.
"You wanna have some fun ? "
