Casri followed Terryn inside the house, leaving the bow to lean against the wall near the door.
"Most of my food is kept in there, you can grab anything you want and as much as you want. We won't be here for much longer so I'd rather not have too much of this food to go to waste."
She nodded and walked to the pantry, taking a look at what was there. She admitted she was rather impressed at the good selection of different types of food. However, she opted to go for some bread and dried fish, mostly because she had eaten neither of those since she had began travelling. As a side thought she also grabbed a few carrots, then walked off to the table and sat down. Satisfied, she gave Terryn a small smile as a thanks before she began eating her food.

When Kaden made it into the hut, the princess was already at the table with the food she was going to eat. Rushing to where all the food was at, he just started grabbing whatever food he could find and start eating it without even going to he table. He didn't care whether it seemed rude or not that he was just eating anything he could find.
It didn't take long before he got enough to eat and so took a seat at the table where Casri was at. "Yep, that was a good meal. What do you think princess?" He looked down to see that she hasn't even ate that much yet. "Might want to hurry up or you will lose time to train more."

Terryn got up and walked to the pantry after Casri and Kaden had gotten all they wanted. He stood there for a moment looking at what he had and then finally decided on what he would take. He grabbed some salted meat and some bread and that was it. He walked back to the table and sat back in his spot.
"Might want to hurry up or you will lose time to train more."
"The sun has set for today, we'll continue tomorrow."

"Yep, that was a good meal. What do you think princess? Might want to hurry up or you will lose time to train more."
Casri glared at Kaden from her eye corner as she ate her food, but before she could say anything back Terryn already spoke. She was glad, she really didn't feel like starting to argue right now, and so she simply concentrated on finishing her food.
There was one thing though that bothered her, and soon enough she voiced her thoughts.
"Kaden, I would appreciate it if you did not throw that 'princess' around as much as you do", she said, making sure not to look at Kaden. "It might be safe to use it here, but elsewhere there will be prying ears that would be better off not hearing my title."

"The sun has set for today, we'll continue tomorrow."
"Awe, but it is so much funner to train in the dark." Kaden said in disappontment. It seemed like these two never wanted to have any fun which annoyed Kaden.
"Kaden, I would appreciate it if you did not throw that 'princess' around as much as you doIt might be safe to use it here, but elsewhere there will be prying ears that would be better off not hearing my title."
"Fine, I'll try not to in public, but I'm making no promises." Kaden was getting more relaxed and started leaning in his chair like he did earlier. His boredom was getting the best of him and he started to get tired. "So, where are am I supposed to sleep? I don't feel like sharing a bed with the both of you."

"So, where are am I supposed to sleep? I don't feel like sharing a bed with the both of you."
Casri gasped and turned to stare at Kaden with wide eyes and open mouth. What had he just said? Then suddenly she blushed, tilting her head down so that her hair covered her face from both Kaden and Terryn. "I-uh... Can sleep on the floor", she mumbled rather un-clearly. "T-that will be no problem."
She blinked, suddenly feeling very nervous and embarrassed. Realizing that since she had finished her food already, she could just as well take a small walk outside... And escape the situation for a moment.
So, she stood rather stiffly and headed over to the door. "I will take a small walk", she said quietly, still avoiding looking at either of the two as she opened the door. "I will not be long..."
With that said she went outside, hoping that neither of the two would follow this time. She wanted a moment alone to rearrange her thoughts.

Terryn couldn't help but laugh a bit as he heard what Kaden said, but he saw that Casri didn't think it was too funny.
"I-uh... Can sleep on the floor. T-that will be no problem."
"No, you can take the bed. Me and Kaden will take the floor."
"Since I'm such a nice guy," he said turning to Kaden, "I'll let you pick any spot on the floor you wish. There is lots to choose from."
"I will take a small walk. I will not be long..."
"Take your bow with you, just in case."

"I'll let you pick any spot on the floor you wish. There is lots to choose from."
"hmm," Kaden wondered what spot looked the most comfortable, "There are so many spots to choose from." Walking around for a bit, Kaden couldn't really find any spots that were more comfortable than others. "Well I guess I'll just be moving around tonight to find a good spot, but you won't mind will ya."

Casri was grateful that neither of the two had followed her. She had a pretty good idea that Kaden had meant what he had said as a joke, but she just hadn't been able to help becoming so embarrassed.
Which lead her to another question... Why had she become embarrassed?
Casri shook her head as she wandered deeper into the forest, enjoying the cool air and the lessening light. For some reason she felt more ease in the dark forest, especially now that she didn't have to keep running - even if it was only temporary.
She didn't stop walking until she came across a small river. She stopped there, staring at the water. She sighed and glanced back at the direction where she had come from. She couldn't see the house, but she knew it was there. With a slight shrug she walked over to the water and sat down on one of the larger stones there, tucking her feet under her like she sometimes had when she had been young. Then she just sat there, staring at her reflection from the water's surface.

"I did't mind you running to our table at the inn, and I didn't mind you running into my house with people after you. I think I'll be okay with you moving around the floor."
"So Kaden," Terryn said leaning back in his chair and putting his feet up on the table, "what did you do to get yourself such a high bounty?"

"What did you do to get yourself such a high bounty?"
Kaden had to let out a small laugh from the question. "Well, I've spent a few years assassinating people. The people usually are soldiers or assassins that work for the new king." Sitting back down in his seat, Kaden was once again relaxed in it and ready to continue ttalking some more. "The king has probably been getting angry that I've been killing his men and they aren't able to ever catch me."

It was strange how much she had changed during the past few weeks. How long had it been since she had walked on the palace corridors the last time? She couldn't remember. She had come far, and the whole time she had travelled on foot. It must have taken her a while, and perhaps she would be better off counting the time with months instead of weeks.
She laughed, unamused. She could barely remember what her "previous life" had been like. She barely even remembered what her father had looked like. She did know the look of his eyes, since those very same eyes were now looking back at her from her reflection. But other than that, memories were blurred, shoved away by her frantic need to escape and stay alive.
And now... Terryn had returned to her life, and she had regained a small part of her memories. She was glad, yet remembering them also brought back the reality of her situation. There would be nowhere where she could remain, no one she could trust. She was completely alone, and it scared her, so much in fact that she didn't notice how her vision blurred and how she shed her first tears since her assassination attempt.

"I can understand why."
Terryn looked at the door to his house and saw that Casri had forgotten her bow. She must not have heard him when he said to take it with her. He figured she'd be alright though, seeing as she said her walk would only be a short one.
"So, and assassin, eh? Do you only have experience with being sneaky, or can you still do well when being challenged face to face?"

"Depends on my weapons, I guess. Give me a pair of daggers and I'll tear through an endless amount of opponents. Other weapons I don't really bother with since they are too slow to me." Grabbing both of the daggers that he carried with him, Kaden tossed them on the table. "These daggers though are too dull and too old to be to effective in combat. That's why I need a new pair."

She didn't know how long she sat there, staring at nothing with blurry eyes. It wasn't until the first sob escaped her that she was startled out of her thoughts. She blinked her watery eyes, seemingly shocked how easily she had become upset now that she had decided to settle down for a while. She took a shaky breath. Would it be like this until they would begin their travel to Sondista?
She closed her eyes, struggling to get a hold of her emotions again. It was difficult now that she had allowed them loose. It was just so upsetting to know that everyone she had learned to care for so much were suddenly gone.
'... Not completely everyone', she reminded herself. Terryn was still there, and if he hadn't changed too much since when he had left New Westminster, she should still be able to trust him.
After another shaky breath she finally pulled herself - somewhat - together and dried her tears with her sleeve. She then glanced at herself from the water's surface, and laughed. She was a complete mess. Her hair was tangled, and it seemed to have twigs and grass blades in it. She so needed to do something about that. Also, it seemed her hair was growing longer than she intended. Maybe it'd be time to cut it soon again.
"Cainaru, you need a bath", she told herself with a laugh as she stood up from where she had been sitting.

"You'll probably get a chance or two during the trip to show us I'll bet."
Terryn picked up one of the daggers that Kaden had thrown onto the table and examined it. They were quite dull, and were probably not very usable.
"These daggers though are too dull and too old to be to effective in combat. That's why I need a new pair."
"Well, I only have two pairs. Why don't you just get these sharpened?"

"Well, I only have two pairs. Why don't you just get these sharpened?"
" I haven't had much time to get them sharpened when there is a dragon after me." Shrugging his shoulder, Kaden just decided to take the other blade and spun it around one of his fingers. "If you want to sharpen them for me, feel free to."

The bath had indeed been a good idea. She felt refreshed, and had gotten most of the evidence of her tears away. Besides, it was wonderful to have all the dirt out of her hair.
Yes, she was quite satisfied with herself as she now combed her tresses with her fingers, getting rid of the tangles. Once she was satisfied, she stood up, grabbing her now wet cloak from the ground. She had used it as a towel and would need to let it dry before putting it back on.
She gave one last glance at her reflection, deciding that she would leave the cutting of her hair for a later date. Then she turned and began heading back towards Terryn's house, her previous calmness completely returned.

"If you want to sharpen them for me, feel free to."
"There's a place in town where you can get them sharpened. You can go there tomorrow, just make sure people can't recognize you."
Terryn then tossed the dagger he had back to Kaden.

Kaden caught the dagger Terryn just threw and put it back where it belonged by his side. He wondered if the dragon managed to destroy the place where he could sharpen his blades if it got lucky and still standing.
"Looks like I'll be doing that while you two train some more then. Maybe you could get her ready for a sparring match before I return and we can see how good of a teacher you are."
