Casri peered up at the sky, shielding her eyes with her hand to prevent the sunlight from blinding her. It was mostly flat around here - everything had been more or less flat after they had left Snowtops. There were occasional hills, like the one in front of them, but they were small and all they did was simply hide what laid waiting behind them.
The Plains really did live up to their name - landmarks were scarce.
But now she finally could see the first signs that they had come very close to Sondista. Seagulls. She had visited Ythus once, when she had been very little, and all the distant memories came crashing back. Seagulls meant that the ocean was near.
With a smile on her face, she averted her gaze from the sky and smiled as she turned to look at Terryn and Kaden.
"I believe that Sondista lies behind that hill."
Her tone was happy when she spoke. She glad that all the walking down from Snowtops finally seemed to be over.

It had been a long time since Terryn last traveled far from Snowtops. He had almost forgotten what everything looked like without snow covering it.
And then he heard them, the seagulls. Oh what a horrible squawk those birds made. Seagulls had to be Terryn's least favourite bird. He knew, though, that the sounds of seagulls meant that they were close to Sondista, and from previous travels to Sondista with the military, he knew that the town was full of them. Sooner or later he would get used to the annoying squawking and drown it out... or so he hoped.
"I believe that Sondista lies behind that hill."
"I believe you're right," Terryn replied, "And it's about time. I was beginning to get tired of all that walking."

Kaden was enjoying his time walking from Snowtops all the way to Sondista. It wasn't bad at all since there were others to keep him company, something he wasn't really used to. Looking up, he saw that there were seagulls which meant they were probably close to town. He wasn't to tired probably because he didnt have to carry anything like the other two had to.
"And it's about time. I was beginning to get tired of all that walking."
"Getting tired? And I wanted to do more sight seeing before getting here, whatever, I should be fine."

Casri laughed at her two companions. She had gotten somewhat used to Kaden's presence during their journey, and he didn't annoy her quite as much as he had used to at first. She just hoped he wouldn't slip out any vital information - such as her true identity.
"Any ideas of what we should do when we reach the town?"

"Getting tired? And I wanted to do more sight seeing before getting here, whatever, I should be fine."
"Getting tired of, not getting tired from. You can still do your sight seeing if you want to."
"Any ideas of what we should do when we reach the town?"
Terryn thought for a moment, but nothing came to his mind. It wasn't very late, so they wouldn't need to look for a place to sleep for quite a while still.
"What ever we want I guess. We could look around, maybe we will over hear rumors about what's going on at the castle, and whether or not people think you're dead."

"Ooo, rumours are always fun to listen even if most of them are wrong. Maybe the little story from snowtops made it here already."
Walking towards the town, Kaden's stomach let out a loud growl letting everyone know he was hungry. It seemed he always has to be eating otherwise he'd start starving.
"I think we should get food somewhere," He said while holding his stomach, "Hopefully this town has a good place to eat in it."

Casri sighed, shaking her head as she followed the other two towards the town. She agreed with Kaden that most rumours were usually not true... And yet, she was very curious to hear what the people in Sondista thought had happened in the capital.
And that reminded her...
"Kaden?" she said quietly. "I would appreciate it if you could hold back using 'princess' while we are among other people."

"If people think Casri is dead then it doesn't matter if they're true or not."
"I think we should get food somewhere, hopefully this town has a good place to eat in it."
"I doubt you'll have any trouble finding a place. Just don't draw attention to yourself, that's the main thing."
The three of them approached the entrance to the town and Terryn realized how busy it was. There was more people in the town than he was used to after being in Snowtops for so long. He figured they'd have no problem blending in though, as there were so many people no one would even notice them.

"Darn, now I'm gonna have to find a new nickname for you," Kaden said while slouching over, "Maybe something will com to mind while we are here."
"I doubt you'll have any trouble finding a place. Just don't draw attention to yourself, that's the main thing."
"I'll try not to cause too much trouble here."
Finally making it to the town, it seemed there was plenty of people to blend in with. The first person that bumped into Kaden wasn't going to have a very good day.
"So how bout we stop at the first inn we can eat at?" He asked the other two while holding the bag of coins he just stole in front of him, "I'm sure that guy won't mind paying for us."

"Darn, now I'm gonna have to find a new nickname for you."
Casri laughed out loud at Kaden's remark, but she soon forgot her amusement when they reached the town. It was larger than she had thought it to be, and there were so many people...!
Blending in wouldn't be a problem, but she felt uneasy with so many people around. Sure, she was used to crowds... But those crowds had been kept a good distance away from her. She soon realized that this would be very different, and she decided that she would stay as close to Terryn and Kaden as possible.
"So how bout we stop at the first inn we can eat at? I'm sure that guy won't mind paying for us."
Casri stared at the bag of coins in Kaden's hand with wide eyes. Had he just...? After a quick glance at his face, she was certain. Yes, he most definitely had.
"Was that wise?" she asked quietly, speaking just loud enough for her two companions to hear her.

"You've got to be kidding me." Terryn said, bringing his palm to his face.
"Was that wise?"
"No, it wasn't. I brought my bag of coins for a reason Kaden. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves, and stealing from people isn't helping."

Kaden wanted to laugh from seeing the two of them react to seeeing the money bag. It was way to easy for Kaden to get them to worry.
"No, it wasn't. I brought my bag of coins for a reason Kaden. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves, and stealing from people isn't helping."
"I know," he said with a grin on his face, "That's why I took yours." Tossing the bag back to Terryn, he just continued looking for the inn so he can eat. "So I guess that means you're paying for us."

"I know. That's why I took yours. So I guess that means you're paying for us."
"Is there any way you could keep those tricks of yours at bay?" she asked with a slightly irritated tone.
Shaking her head she continued forward, not bothering to wait for Kaden's reply. Kaden wanted the first inn they would come by. However, she wasn't all too fond of that idea. If she had understood anything right, the people in inns were always interested of strangers. She found it somewhat easier to blend in on the busy streets where everyone was too busy to look at the passers by too closely.

"I know, that's why I took yours."
Terryn was greatly confused as to why Kaden would steal his money. He struggled to find the logic in it, but gave up quickly. Kaden is Kaden after all.
"So I guess that means you're paying for us."
"Ha, you wish I was paying for you. I can't let you steal my money and think nothing of it after all. I'm not too interested in eating right now anyway. You can wander off and find the inn if you want though. We can meet up later."

Kaden got a little depressed knowing that Terryn wasn't going to pay for his meal. He continued to walk though, but was slouched over with his arms hanging downwards.
"I wonder if the story of the dragon has made it's way down here yet," He said spontaniously while walking, "And I also wonder how others are gonna ruin the story."
Still walking, Kaden saw the first Inn that didn't look very friendly. It looked like many of thieves and muggers were going in there.
"Hmm, I don't think I want to go in there. It looks like there are plenty of strong people in there who would to harm poor, weak me. So I guess I'll stay with you two for a little while longer."

Casri didn't bother to glance back at Kaden when his words reached her. She was far too comfortable walking ahead and trying to pretend that she was content with her current situation.
After a moment of walking though she frowned. She slowed her steps so that she fell back to walking beside Terryn and Kaden.
"How long will we stay here?" she asked quietly. "And, should we figure out where the fastest and easiest routes out of town are before we go much further?"

"Well, I don't see any need to leave so soon. We just got here, so we should see how things work out before we decide when we should leave. Escape routes on the other hand might be something to look into, just in case."
"That's just me though, what do you guys think?" He asked, looking at both of them.

"I don't mind staying here for a bit, I just hope people here won't remember me too well," Kaden replied to Terryn's question, "but I'm sure that won't happen."
Looking aound a bit, he tried to find good escape routes that the other two could use. Not really finding any and too lazy to think of a good route, he just let out a sigh.
"I'm sure if things get really bad, I can get the both of you out of here pretty fast."

"I don't mind staying here for a bit, I just hope people here won't remember me too well, but I'm sure that won't happen."
"Let us stick to keeping a low profile then", Casri said. "People are less likely to pay attention and possibly remember you that way."
She paused, thinking.
"I should be fine. I have never visited Sondista before, and the chances for someone I have met before to see me are pretty low. And my appearance has changed. I can only hope that it is enough."
"I'm sure if things get really bad, I can get the both of you out of here pretty fast."
She pondered Kaden's words for a moment.
"It is an option", she finally admitted. "But I would prefer that we do not need to make such a hasty retreat. People tend to remember unusual events, and rumours spread quickly to other areas."

"So, I guess we're staying then." Terryn stated as they continued walking.
As they walked around Terryn saw places he recognized a bit from when he had been here with the military, but he didn't remember much. He didn't have much knowledge about what was here.
"Anyone have any ideas as to where we should stop?"
