Name: Seleter
Nickname: Seleta
Species: Cheetah
Age: Young adult
Gender: Female
Description:
reference sheet here (ignore the wings)
She has light golden fur with white belly, socks on each leg and tail tip. The longer fur on the back of her neck is also white. She has black spots scattered all around the golden part of her fur, but they fade away quickly when they reach the white areas. She has two thick, black stripes on her tail, and her ears are black with white spots behind them. She also has “tear markings” going down from the inner corner of both her eyes, reaching down to her lips where they end. She has a distinguishing diamond-shaped dot on her forehead. Her eyes are light purple, and she is slightly smaller than cheetahs of her age normally are.
Behaviour:
Most of Seleter’s life is centred around her ability to run – fast. She gets absolutely thrilled of racing, and though she should spare her energy for the hunts, she can sometimes be seen running across any open space while laughing happily.
As first she seems suspicious of others, often taking the position of protecting herself. Though she is a fun-loving cheetah, she is also very serious when the situation requires that. She trusts others easily, apparently not understanding that sometimes she shouldn’t give out her trust so freely. It is unknown how misusing her trust would affect her.
History:
Seleter was the youngest of her siblings, and the only female. She had three older brothers, who she spent most of her childhood playing with. Like all cheetah cubs, they grew up with their mother without seeing their father. They only knew of him from the stories their mother used to tell them.
On one occasion Seleter got separated from her family, and was attacked by an unknown male cheetah. Her life was spared, however, when an older king cheetah came to her rescue and brought her back to her mother and brothers. Later on she learned that this king cheetah was in fact her father, and though she never saw him again she kept her hopes high, wishing that maybe one day they could meet.
When she, and her siblings, grew old enough to be able to take care of themselves, they left their mother in order to explore the world. Seleter, however, grew tired of her brothers’ company, knowing that eventually she would have to separate from them anyway. And so she left them, promising that perhaps they would meet again one day. That hasn’t happened yet, but she hasn’t completely dropped her hopes for that.
